Head of Process Engineer (m/f/d)

This position is disciplinary and technically directly subject to the Head of Service Center Engineering.



Your tasks

  • Disciplinary, technical and operational employee responsibility concerning the Process Engineering Department (deployment planning, ensure employee qualification, performance evaluation, etc.)
  • Investment planning  and capacity planning as well as responsibility for the budget and its’ implementation in respect of the Process Engineering Department
  • Specifications/instructions of processes and workflows for Business Unit production
  • Leading of automation equipment planning
  • Supporting Tool Engineering Department, Maintenance, Tool Shop, Business Units and Quality Department in respect of all process issues
  • Technical lead for all production processes and continuous optimization during the project lifetime
  • Supporting sales for new project acquisition
  •  Evaluation and release concerning the functionality of production facility in cooperation with the Head of Service Center Engineering
  • Sampling of complex injection mold including handling and partly broad automation devices as well as serial production release
  • Error analysis and correction of malfunctions on existing machinery and introduction of preventive Actions
  • Assistance and assessment of tooling concepts
  • Assistance of developing technical documents for providers, tool suppliers and  automation specialist
  • Contribute and implement defined environmental objectives as well as quality objectives
  • Competent and structured assistance with internal audits and customer audits
  • Technical communication with the headquarters in Coburg
  • Assurance and compliance of regulations
  • Responsible to assure 5S activities in related area
  • Other tasks as requested from supervisor



Personal requirement profile

  • Completed professional training in engineering, technician or master in the area of technical injection molding/plastic processing, or technical university degree
  • At least 7 years of professional experience with sampling, process optimizing and the production of injection molding Tools
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience
  • Profound knowledge of the most important technical plastic material in respect of  plastic processing and refinement
  • Familiar with European injection machines (e.g. Engel, Demag)
  • Knowledge of 3D Viewer (e.g. VisView)
  • Knowledge in CAD desirable
  • High degree of personal initiative, commitment, reliability and capacity of Teamwork
  • Analytical and structured method of operating in respect of problem solving of complex tasks
  • High degree of cost awareness as well as quality awareness
  • Autonomous and flexible way of working
  • Distinctive social competence
  • Willingness to travel (national/international)
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Language skills: English and German fluently (spoken and written), Chinese desirable
