Following the successful transfer of a medical product to the GAUDLITZ plant in Wuxi, China, in December of last year, further important milestones on the road to the expansion of medical engineering activities have now been passed. At the end of June our site at Wuxi successfully passed an audit which confirmed a well- established and well-developed quality management system that meets the required standards for medical products (DIN ISO 13485) in a comprehensive and exemplary fashion.
The Coburg site had already successfully undergone an audit in accordance with this medical engineering standard in August 2009. The Chinese site now followed suit.
This is an essential step towards the implementation of a strategy designed to increase turnover in all business areas and thus to significantly increase the importance of the medical, pharmaceutical and laboratory testing products. In order to reach this objective, the time had now come to enlarge the sales team which deals solely with the medical market in China. Thus, GAUDLITZ Precision Technology Wuxi added a further sales person to the local sales team and he now looks after the Chinese medical customers.
By virtue of having achieved these key milestones, GAUDLITZ management is confident of being able to reach the set objectives in the years to come.
